How we work

How Astroniq reads your chart

Every reading is a deterministic computation grounded in classical Vedic astrology - not a writer guessing, and not a model improvising. Here's exactly how it works.

Sidereal, BPHS-grounded calculation

Your chart is cast in the sidereal zodiac using the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa and the whole-sign house system - the standard of classical Jyotish. Planetary positions come from a precision ephemeris, and significations follow the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS) tradition rather than ad-hoc interpretation.

Deterministic and versioned

The interpretation layer is pure and reproducible: a placement maps to a specific reading through a versioned rule set, not a randomised generation. The same birth details and engine version always produce the same result - so a guide you read today says exactly what your own chart will say tomorrow.

Specific, not generic

A reading is written to be lived-in and second-person - “you brace for the worst as a habit, which is exactly why you’re the steady one when everything falls apart” - not a vague one-line horoscope. The same engine powers your in-app Cosmic Blueprint, so these guides reflect what Astroniq actually tells you about your chart.

Private by construction

You don’t hand over personal data to read a placement guide - it describes the general signature of, say, Saturn in the 8th house. To see it in yourchart you can generate a free birth chart; birth inputs are used to compute and aren’t persisted by default.

Who's behind it

Astroniq is built by a small team in India combining software engineering with classical Jyotish study. The engine is reviewed against canonical sources, and readings are continually checked for accuracy and tone against the texts they draw from.

Frequently asked

Does Astroniq use real Vedic astrology?
Yes. Charts are cast in the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa and whole-sign houses, and significations follow the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS) tradition - the system Indian astrologers actually use, not the Western shortcut.
Is the reading the same every time?
For the same birth details and the same engine version, yes - Astroniq's interpretation layer is deterministic and versioned, so results are reproducible and never silently drift.
Do you store my birth details?
You don't need an account to read a placement guide. When you generate your own chart, birth inputs are used to compute and aren't persisted by default - see our privacy policy.
