Terms of Service

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you're between 13 and 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• You must provide accurate information when signing up. Birth data needs to be your own - or, for People records, someone whose data you have a basis to enter.
• One account per person, please. You may not share login credentials.

Astroniq provides AI-generated astrology insights grounded in your real birth chart. It is intended for informational and reflective purposes only. It is NOT:

• A substitute for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. Consult a qualified professional for those.
• A predictive service. We name tendencies and timing - we don't predict outcomes.
• A replacement for a human astrologer for matrimony decisions or other high-stakes consultations.
• A crisis support service. If you are in crisis or considering self-harm, please contact a verified helpline (the in-app crisis card lists current numbers).

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security risk.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Send abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or illegal content.
• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or copy the underlying AI models or chart engine.
• Use the Service to build a competing product, train another model, or scrape large volumes of generated content.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written consent. Responsible disclosures are always welcome - see /security.
• Use automated tools, bots, or APIs not officially exposed to interact with the Service.
• Submit other people's birth data without a legitimate basis to do so.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts engaged in any of the above. Where applicable, we may report violations to authorities.

• Astroniq Plus is offered on a recurring subscription basis, billed either monthly or yearly depending on the plan you choose at checkout. Prices are shown on /pricing and confirmed in the checkout flow before payment.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from the Me tab.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Astroniq Plus features until then.
• We may change prices for new sign-ups at any time. Existing subscribers keep their current price as long as their subscription remains continuous.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
• Free-tier limits (5 chat messages/day, 1 saved Person) apply when no active paid subscription exists. We may adjust free-tier limits with at least 14 days' notice.

You retain ownership of the messages, questions, and data you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, and display Your Content as needed to operate the Service for you.

We do not use Your Content to train public AI models, to advertise to third parties, or to publish to other Astroniq users without your explicit consent. Specifically, your chat history stays bound to your account.

Astroniq's replies are generated by AI models grounded in your birth chart. These replies are provided "as is" and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading despite our best efforts. Use them as a starting point for reflection, not as definitive guidance.

We do not claim copyright over AI-generated reply text served to you - you may quote, share, or republish it as you wish, subject to the acceptable-use rules above.

The Service - including the chart engine, AI orchestration, interface, branding, copy, and design - is owned by Astroniq and protected by applicable IP laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

The Service integrates with third-party providers (payment gateways, LLM providers, push delivery - listed at /privacy). Those providers have their own terms; by using the Service you also accept those terms where applicable.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

ASTROLOGICAL INTERPRETATIONS ARE NOT EMPIRICAL FACTS. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE ACCURACY, PREDICTIVE VALIDITY, OR REAL-WORLD APPLICABILITY OF ANY READING.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASTRO AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ₹5,000 INR OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for: (i) gross negligence or wilful misconduct; (ii) fraud; or (iii) any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold Astroniq harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) your violation of any third-party right.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account from the Me tab - this is irreversible.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your account is dormant for an extended period (we'll notify you before terminating for dormancy). Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as provided in our Refund Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chandiagrh, India.

Before initiating any formal dispute, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution through email correspondence for at least 30 days.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify you by email and via an in-app banner at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you don't agree, you may cancel your subscription and stop using the Service before the change takes effect.

• Entire agreement. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and Astroniq regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
• Notices. We may notify you by email, via an in-app banner, or by posting on the Service. You may notify us at astroniq.app@gmail.com.
