The Empress upright
The Empress is the body of the world made tender - the wheat field, the running stream, the pregnancy of the moment.
This card affirms what you're growing. Don't pick the fruit before it's ready, but trust that it is ripening.
Sensuality, motherhood, gardens - anywhere life unfolds at its own pace, the Empress is at home.
The Empress reversed
Reversed, the Empress flags creative block, neglect of the body, or smothering rather than nurturing.
Sometimes she also points to dependency dressed up as care.
