Today for Capricorn
The Moon is in your house of rest, expenses and letting go - the quietest transit of the cycle, and a legitimate one to go slow through.
Why today reads this way
The Moon is transiting Sagittarius today, which is your twelfth house counted from Capricorn - the house of solitude, loss, the unconscious, and spiritual release. That placement is what shapes the reading above, and it's the same method a Vedic astrologer uses for a daily rashifal: gochar measured from your Moon sign, not your Sun sign.
Where to put your energy
Lean into Sleep, solitude, and closing things out, Reflection or spiritual practice, and Reducing rather than adding.
What to watch for
Go easy on Forcing a decision that wants another day, and Draining spending you'll question tomorrow.
The sky today
On Sunday, 18 October 2026, the Moon is in Purva Ashadha nakshatra, and the tithi is Saptami (Shukla paksha). These are the same panchang values every reading on this site is cast from.

Frequently asked
- Is this Capricorn horoscope based on my Moon sign or Sun sign?
- Vedic astrology reads the daily transit against your Moon sign (Rashi). If you're unsure of yours, use the free Moon Sign Calculator - it's more personal than the Sun sign most Western horoscopes use.
- How often does the Capricorn horoscope update?
- Daily. The reading is recast each day from the Moon's actual position, so it changes as the Moon moves signs (roughly every two and a quarter days) and nakshatras (about once a day).
- What does the Moon in Sagittarius mean for Capricorn?
- Counted from Capricorn, Sagittarius is your twelfth house - the house of solitude, loss, the unconscious, and spiritual release. In Vedic astrology the Moon moving through that house is what colours the day for your rashi, which is why every sign gets a different reading from the same sky.
